I purchased a new verizon galaxy 7" tablet and I love the tablet but I am having issues with the browser on both wifi and 3g. While I am on the Internet browsing web sites with no warning at all the tablet will vibrate twice and go back to the home page and close the browser. I have spoken to verizon tech support but they have no idea and all they want to do is send me a new one. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't used the stock browser since about day 1 (over six months ago) - try using a third party browser such as Skyfire 4 (my favorite), Firefox, Opera, Dolphin, or Miren. If you are still having problems with browser force closes even with third party browsers, your tab may indeed need to go back. Also, are you having any issues with other apps that need internet access? If so, then maybe it is a hardware problem.

I was having the same force closing issues with the stock browser. Since updating to Gingerbread, I have not had them anymore. (I realize this is not a lot of help for you, since you are on Verizon and I have a Sprint tab. But, I think it points out that it appears to be a bug with the browser, rather than a hardware issue.)

I just downloaded Miren Browser and wow what a difference! I hope this stays true and the galaxy tab is a keeper.
