New phone update killing battery to phone and gear watch

Has anyone else had issues since the new update with it killing your batteries. I read where others were saying to disable the weather widget to the phone and it would help with the phone battery. My phone would last 2 days before the update and now it lasted 2 hours until I disabled the app. But my gear watch was lasting over 2 days and now will only last 1.5 hours since I allowed the update to the phone this week. I have spent all day today working on this myself and with Samsung to get no resolve. Please someone help!!!!!! Thanks in advance!

After updating my Galaxy Note 3 to lollipop my Gear watch doesn't last more than 5 hours. I ran a test where I disabled bluetooth on the Note 3 and the watch lasted all day. My guess is that lollipop doesn't manage bluetooth signal power as well as KitKat did, but this is just a wild guess.
