New Pixel issues

Just got a Pixel XL having a couple of issues with phone.
First is having speed dial tiles unresponsive I will lick them and nothing happens or they a very slow 30 seconds or so to work. Second is when call comes in and I'm in another app call shows in small bar on top of screen with decline or accept. Accept is unresponsive I have to hit phone to make it full screen to answer. Any help or work around would be helpful.

I have a Pixel 2 XL with none of those problems. Are you sure you're not having carrier related problems?

Sounds to me like you have touchscreen issues. Can you return it under warranty?

If it's within your return warranty window, I would return it and get another Pixel 2 XL. Keep us posted!

Definitely sounds like some touch sensitivity issues, if you just got the phone and purchased it via GP, BB or VZW you should be within the return/exchange window. I would do just that. Let us know what happens, good luck

don't think is a touchscreen issue because I can see button click but nothing happens. so I'm thinking software is brand new so can return thought I would check here first

Try taping them with your finger, as licking a screen doesn’t do much, responsiveness wise.

I've tried licking tapping and bumping them with my wet nose without success

looks like phone app is bad lots of complaints in play store same problems I'm having

I also have a Pixel 2 XL. If the phone app was bad, I would have the same problems. I don't.

Make sure you are updated to the latest version of the phone app.

Do a restart in Safe Mode to see if the problem might be caused by another conflicting app.

Just in case you are unfamiliar with how to use Safe Mode, just Google "Android Safe Mode" for full instructions.

I have a similar issue been better with the update but if you go over to other forums and even read the Google phone app in the play store the latest update has seemed to cause this for many people, hopefully there is a fix very soon!
