New rooted evo and now battery is worse than ever

Hey everyone,
im new to this area here but i rooted my gingerbread 2.3 and then flashed MikG 2.59 and Freedom Kernel ( agressive). Everything was running sweet the first day but now day 2 my battery is dying way faster than ever did. I also have the 3500 mAh extended battery so i used to get decent time. But literally in the last hr my battery 14% life. What am i missing here or what do i need to do?

Are you still managing your apps by turning off everything running in the background? should be less running but you never know
