Hello. I just got a new s3 and tried to sync my facebook contacts to it. It worked but if i log off facebook on my phone the facebook contacts disappear. Is there any way to keep them saved in the phone without being logged in facebook?

You do not need to log off Facebook, you can stay logged in. If you are not in the app, it will show automatically show you as offline on Facebook, but you dont need to lof off Facebook from your phone

But if i stay logged on isn't it going to use my data when I'm not connected to Wi-Fi?

No, just turn syncing off and it will not use any data, but you can still be logged in

smooth is right man.
it wont use much data unless u have it set to notify you of EVERYTHING and u have 10000 friends lol
just keep an eye on the fb apps data use in settings if ur on a really limited plan
