New S9+ tranasferring from old phone

hi all,

i have a new galaxy s9+ and my old HTC 10. what is the best way of transferring everything from my old phone to my new one?

i am not too fussed about pictures, i will probably back those up to my computer and start fresh on the new phone.

if i set up the new one with my google account, which has backup set up, will all aps move over? what about messages etc.

should i use a third party software, or safer to spend a few hours going things manually?

I had no problem using Samsung transfer app. I also came from HTC 10. Everything transferred, no problem.

Using the smart switch app you have installed should work.
