I received my new Galaxy S5 a week ago and so far it is working great.

I have 2 relatively minor glitches regarding software that I haven't been able to figure out.

1. When I awake the phone from sleep mode... the screen will sometimes display a "sun" with the temperature of 87 degrees next to it. ( scroll down to the 2nd photo). Other times it won't display the Sun and temperature of 87 degrees and nothing will be there. The problem is that when I wake up my phone, it always indicates Sunny and 87 degrees... and doesn't update or change. I am fine with it showing no data.

I am using Fancy Widgets for my clock and weather information, which does update ( 1st photo) IMG_3638.jpg

Does anyone know how I can get it to stop showing the picture of the sun and 87 degrees ? IMG_3637.jpg

2. The second issue occurs whenever I power down, then re-power my phone. I receive a message " Unfortunately VZWAVSSERVICE has stopped."

Does anyone know how I can get that to stop ? ( see photo)IMG_3640.jpg

I think that cured the incorrect temperature....

I am still getting the message "Unfortunately VZWAVSSERVICE has stopped," whenever the phone is rebooted.

The VMWASservices is am error from Google Plus. Go to apps, Swype to right to list all apps, select Google +, on app settings uninstall the last update, select disable (disable stops app from updating). Unless someone know different. If they're is another that requires Google plus that you use, it will say so, and you would have to do the opposite, select enable, update. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Did you mean VZWAVSSERVICES in your reply above ? Just wanted to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

I can "force stop" the VZWAVSSERVICES app....but I receive a warning " Turning off built-in apps may cause error in other apps."

I don't see VMWASSERVICES in my app list.

I believe a dictate update was pushed to the Galaxy's. Did that fix the problem? And it was a swype' ing error. But the instructions were to uninstall the last Google+ update, the disable Google+, so it would not update. But, I hope the recent dictate update fixed the error.

I stopped the app and that seems to have fixed the issue.
