My wife has a new month old GTS (as do I.) It was charging, she turns it on and it freezes at the splash screen. If you do the trick of trying to shut it down by holding the power/volume at the same time, it bounces back to the same frozen splash screen. it hasn't been dropped, no trauma, nothing.
