New screen issue?

Well, just yesterday I posted that my replacement, late November build Panda XL2 was awesome, and far better than the earlier build first one I had. Apparently I spoke too soon. It now suddenly has a grey stripe across the middle of the screen and the top is completely wonky.

Not a new issue per se, just looks like a row of dead pixels. Rma it

Not exactly confidence inspiring that 3 days into my 2nd unit, this happens all of a sudden. I'll think about doing an RMA. I don't want to have to repeatedly do that if these phones are so defective.

I had that happen to my first pixel 2XL and I did an RMA, it was right before christmas, so I waited to ship it back until the day after christmas and by then it was gone. My line was at the top of the screen.

Do you happen to take the phone in and out of a very tight case?

Woah. I would not be able to live with that and would send it back as soon as convenient.

No, it was in a case, and two days ago I did they to take it out of a case but not recently. I wonder if there is some kind of screen repair.

This was one of the issues I had. I went through 3 2xl's. Due to dead pixels, pink /green tinted screens and one of them had a line like this. Back on a small pixel 2 now.

I replaced it on Saturday. So far so good with the replacement unit. But if I have an issue with this one, I'll give up on the Pixel XL 2 and either return to the Note, or switch to the regular Pixel 2.
