I am not sure why Whatsapp have a contact us page because it clearly is not a contact page. I sent a technical question and received a reply utterly unrelated to my question. Clearly it was computer generated.
My question:
I have an iPhone and use mobile network Giffgaff. I installed Whatsapp onto that phone about 3 years ago and used it for work. Recently, I changed my phone number by inserting a new Giffgaff sim card into the same iPhone.
I want to make sure that people who previously Whatsapp'd me on my old phone number can not contact me any longer. Since I am using the same iPhone, I wondered what happens if people I have previously had a Whatsapp chat history with on my old number attempt to send me a Whatsapp message? I still see the old chat history's on my phone yet I have a new sim?
In short, how can I ensure that only people sending a Whatsapp message to my new number can reach me, and that those contacting my old number can not?
