Hi guys! HTC just pushed a new software update to my Virgin USA One V. Thinking it was maybe JB, I installed it BEFORE finding anything out about it. So far, the only thing I found is a Wi-Fi connections manager that asked for new permissions. Does anyone know anything more about this update? Thanks in advance!

If anyone knows more about it, they sure aren't sayin'. After searching the net for days, I've found 3 posts from people who had a problem, and beyond mentioning the wi-fi connection manager, nothing else about the update. Called HTC support ( you'd think they might know) ....nothing. Completely clueless about what it does. Couldn't even say if this would result in a reset and wiping user data. "Some updates will do that. Sometimes."---Yeah-- they actually said that, like it's some kind of random event that just happens.

So, having pushed the button, you are one of the few who knows anything more-- Do tell!
Unless you've already been contacted by the HTC Secret Service and made to sign the Official Android Secrets Act.

I installed the update this morning, and now my phone is telling me it will connect to Sprint 4G when it's available. I don't think I had this funcitonality before the update, so I'm guessing that's the big thing. I assume it's not LTE, and I don't think Spring it expanding its 4G wimax network, but if you happen to live in one of those cities, bonus for you. (I'll be able to see if it really connects to 4G next Tuesday; though I'll have wi-fi there anyway, so *shrug*)
