New Swype on Non-Rooted Captivate?

Hello, I have a Rogers Samsung Galaxy S Captivate that is non-rooted and would like to install the new beta of the Swype keyboard. I have read about rooting and decided that I like my phone in its stock form, but is there a way I can have the newest Swype keyboard without having to root my phone?

To the OP: I think you can temp root (if you're comfortable with that) and remove the old Swype, install the new one, and unroot, but I'm not sure if that would mess anything else up. I'll give it a try for you if you don't want to mess it up, but I have to wait til I get my Cappy back from Samsung.
