new to andriod...just rooted and have a few questions

rooted droid 2g use z4root. i have a few questions as to what to do next as i have read some different info. after rooting i then loaded bootstrap for droid 2 and rom manager. i downloaded both from android market. first i read somewhere that you need to put bootstrap on your sd card so that you can access it in case of a problem, but i do not see it on there. also some places say you need both bootstrap and rom manager and some say one or the other. which is it? also after rooting i know i should make a backup and i did that with rom manager, what do i need to do with bootstrap.

don't worry about backing up the bootstrap, once you have run it once, it altered you boot-up process permanently and you don't need to run it again. just leave it installed on your device. And if you ever lose your copy, you could just have the dev send you another copy

You should also have Titanium to back up your apps and system data. You need Rom Manager and Bootstrap. Both apps will boot you into clockworkmod to flash different roms. If you made a backup with rom manager then you can also do the same with bootstrap if you want an extra backup.
Watch this video tutorial... it might help better explain things. Its listed in order of what you need to do. Everything is designed for your phone except the custom roms...those are for a Droid X. It will explain Z4root..Titanium Backup..Rom Manager and Bootstrap. If you have any questions feel free to ask... I will walk you through the process.

Edit: You can use Bootstrap by itself, if you plan on using Rom Manager, then you need both apps. Rom Manager will not work by itself unless Bootstrap is also installed.

Thanks guys, I just got prepared to root and have all the neccasary files, but didn't want to follow through until I knew exactly what to do. I can't believe how nice everybody is here and helps eachother out. Again, thank you very much!
