New to Android Dev

hi all. i'm about -10 minutes new to android development. Eclipse is gonna be done DLing in 10 minutes. I've never programmed anything before. I have a background in web-design, but closest thing I've ever done to coding is HTML, CSS and a little PHP code editing. A friend of mine told me Android dev can be done without necessarily having a programming background, so I'm gonna give it a try.
