New to Android, looking for multi client IM with push feature

I used to use IM+ on the Blackberry Curve 8330 until I just got my HTC Hero today. I was wondering if their are any multi client apps out there with a push feature like IM+ had?

Also, what is a good RSS reader?

Looking into any new and awesome apps for the new OS and new phone?
