The verizon media player will not download on my 64- bit computer so my question is there a 64-bit version or how do I need to pit music on my droid? Any advice on this I would greatly appreciate

I usually plug my X into the computer and open up and drop the music files directly into the SD card. I have the Verizon player on my computer but never have used it...

I suggest not to you the verizon media player i have more headaches than not with that.

Instead a great alternative is DoubleTwist. using DT you can connect just like itunes, infact if you have itunes on your computer it will transfer your play lists. Also you have the option of doing a wireless sync so you dont need to connect anywires at all.

another option like what was posted above was you can connect and mount the sd card on the phone. and directly input your music into the music folder just as you would on your pc. then you can use whatever player you choose from the market and assign what folders to search for music for...

as far as music players you have DoubleTwist player/power amp/ or winamp.

my personal Favorite by far is Power Amp. there is a trial version but i actually spent the couple dollars it cost cause it was just that good.

Easiest way to transfer music (or any) files from computer to the X is use the USB mode on the X. Plug in USB cable to X and computer, refuse to activate any program that pops up, open the X as a flash drive, drag/drop files and/or folders direct from your computer to the X or visa versa.

All these apps get in the way of a very simple, effective way to transfer files.
