New to Android

Hello,
I completed my iPhone 3GS contract last August and I will be getting the Samsung Note soon
I'm looking forward to ditching iTunes and apple's control issues. I use Gmail and Google calendar already.

What is the recommended software for syncing music, contacts, videos, apps etc. ?
