New to Android

What up? I am about to come up on my upgrade with Verizon. i plan on buying my first android phone. Right now I have the Blackberry Tour 9630. I?ve been looking at the Thunderbolt and Bionic. I have heard that even though the Thunderbolt doesnt have dual core it is the better phone overall. Which one will be the better buy?
