I just got my Droid 2 last night and am having a few questions in getting some things straightened out. Wonder if anyone can help/point me in the right direction, anyway:

1. I wonder if there is a notification blink option for when I get a new email. I also need to cut off the audible notification that I get as I work in a courtroom and cannot have audible noises while in there.

2. I just cannot figure out how to download google sync to my phone in order to sync my calendar. I just can't get it to download. I go to the site and click download, nothing happens. I also had them send me a txt message and tried that way, still doesn't work.

3. Is there a way to put the phone on vibrate only when I go in to the courtroom?

These are a few things that I just can't seem to get figured out. Any help would be appreciated.

1. Not sure what you mean by notification blink option...normally the phone's LED blink's when you get a new email. You can adjust these settings under options (press the menu key when you are in the account on your phone and look for options/settings etc.)

2. Are you talking Google Calendar Sync to Outlook?? If so you don't download this to your phone, you download it to your PC with Outlook on it.

3. There are many apps out on the market that adjust the vibrate/ring settings...I like Phone Weaver (its a paid app) myself..but there are apps like Ears etc. They adjust what beeps and vibrates on what profile. They even have settings that automatically update based on GPS location. For example everytime your at a courthouse, it knows it and automatically puts the phone into a vibrate only mode in case you forget.

You can also just turn the volume down the whole way and it goes to vibrate.

Hope that helps..there is a "learning curve" of sorts, especially if your coming from the BB world. But once you get it sorted out, you will enjoy your phone more and the customization that is only android.

On the phone lock screen there is an icon in the bottom right-hand corner opposite the unlock button. Swipe it towards the left and it will set it to vibrate without unlocking the phone.

Your calendar automatically syncs and updates when you sign in to your Google account on your device. My contacts and calendar entries synchronized with my Droid when I first input my GMail information under the accounts application.
