New to Droid Eris

I just purchased a Droid Eris today and have a few questions when i started to setup visual voice mail it tells me theres a 2.99 per month charge for the application? I thought it was included in the data/voice plan? Also how do i add apps or shortcuts such as Facebook ?

Yeah, the Verizon Visual Voice Mail is an extra charge. Their may be a free app, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the links, a few other questions i didnt see in my manual i notice that green light on top blinks on occasion is this a notify of an incoming email? also i notice the track ball blinks sometime what does that mean?

Track ball blinking is a notification of Email or text or missed call etc. Not sure about the green light -- could be the same.

This forum is a great place to learn lots more. Check out the user's guide on Verizon's web site -- it'll fill you in on some other useful things. It's over 200pgs so I doubt you'll want to print it, but the online PDF should be sufficient.

I don't think there is a fee for Google Voice. At least not on the BB app I've used before. So I don't think there will be for the Droid app either.
