I purchased a pair of HTC Inspire phones for myself and my wife. These are our first android phones. I had a Blackberry Bold and my wife had a plain samsung cellphone. It has been a nice learning curve for us. Two reasons for changing was BB's falling behind the technology curve and apps curve and the high speed networking.

In the short time of owning an HTC droid phone on the ATT network, I found having to go through the market place to install apps is a bummer and the overall battery life sucks......

Hi, welcome to AC!

The sideloading thing (not being able to install non-market apps) is something we've been dealing with for awhile on AT&T. Luckily, they should be pushing out an update soon to enable this.

Battery life is always an issue, especially coming from BB. The small battery HTC put in the Inspire and that big screen certainly don't help.
