I just got a Droid and love it! Two days after purchase Sprint pushed an update so I accepted. Now I can't root the conventional way... so I found this forum to try to undo what I have mistakenly trusted Sprint to help me out.
I am new to Droid, but no idiot. I have been a tech in quite a few fields and can understand most things you try to tell me, however it may be the first time I have heard of these things. I was on the internet in the early days (1986) and have walked accountants through fixing network issues by phone, so I understand the frustrations of helping out a novice.
I have a low end Droid, LG Optimus S.
I have done a factory reset hoping that I would return to V9, but no luck.
Now I am trying to get back to V9 so that I can use Superoneclick to root.
I do not care about saving data, already lost everything, so I am ready to go.
