New to EVO and Android

I just got the new EVO 4G and I have no clue what beats audio is..it came on automatically when I pulled in my earphones(not beats earphones) but when I unplug them it goes off. So far it only comes on with Pandora. How do I use this feature?

It only works when a headphone jack plugged into phone. Also if plugged into another device with headphone plug or connector.
