New to EVO

hey guys,

i have a samsung fascinate. So im not accustomed to the EVO at all. I have a really good grasp on flashing, rooting, etc... but for the fascinate. That said, im a quick learner.

Can anyone give me a quick crash course on the EVO? my girlfriend would like to do all the cool stuff i did to my fascinate on her evo. she asked me to do hers now.

basically im looking for a basic how to for roms? maybe a list of current roms for Evo? Themes? kernels? mods? .. the works

maybe we can get a sticky going where we have a list of all roms, themes, kernels so that people can pick and choose once they know what they are doing? just a thought

Mostly for kernels but does have a list of roms. I don't think it has every rom listed but it will get you going.

cool got it. so im pretty much ready to go. I just need something fast and flashy. but Stable. my girl isnt as tech savvy as i am. It looks like the mlk rom is pretty good.. or the warm. Or i saw kingsunleashed that looked kinda cool.. but i looked pretty briefly during my lunch break.

any ROM suggestions? just something stable and fast

Cm7, then grab the HDMwIn beta from XDA for full mirroring.

yes....CM7 is the best out there....if u wannna stay with SENSE..there are a ton over at XDA....but these guy are giving u some good info, so i would take it all in...maybe even bookmark this page....im running CM7 nightly #17 W/ SavageZen 0.1.2 KERNEL.......runs amazing and battery life is awsome...

PS....but don forget if u go with CM...that u have to flash GAPPS if u want all the google apps.......GOOD LCUK

Yes you can mirror gaming. Because CM supports HID Bluetooth you can mirror a game and use the wii remote. Guys at work are jealous. Oh yeah!

As of now I only had time to play two games. Super Punch Out, which ran excellent, and Super Mario Cart. Now SMC ran slow like the phone was under stress. It was playable but became annoying
