New to Infuse - Wondering about Inspire

Greetings,

I just bought this phone a few days ago. So far so good, but I really would like to know how people feel about this phone compared to the HTC Inspire. Part of me wishes that I had a chance to play with that phone. I think this phone is slightly better than the Inspire (storage, FFC,, etc.) but I'll always remain curious about it. Thoughts on comparison?

Also, some people mentioned that they'll skip the Infuse and wait for the G2. What is this G2 that you people speak of?

This Inspire is really not nearly as good to me, as compared to the Infuse. I had the Inspire for 3 weeks, and the buttons are recessed into the phone, and very awkward location on the lock/power button, and also it is almost flush with the phone making it hard to unlock. Also the volume rocker has no tactile feel either, you can't tell when you are pressing it. These buttons actually get pressed in more, the more you use it (as reviewers will say too, its true). And the phone was not as smooth scrolling through pics, menu's etc as the Infuse. I did the "buyers remorse" they call it, and took it back for the Infuse. After 2 days, I am ecstatic about this Infuse. It is SOOO much of a better phone, I have absolutely no regrets. The Inspire is also a brick, and when carrying in my slacks it was very heavy. Also the rounded case made you pick up the phone to text, otherwise it wobbled on my desk back and forth as I texted. The Infuse is flat so I can text on the desk without picking it up. And the camera on the Inspire was bad, I could never capture a picture where it wasn't a little blurry, Infuse doesn't have that problem as much. And the Inspire camera sticks out too much. I did like the way the icons looked on the HTC more, as they looked more modern (HTC Sense I think it is called), but every other aspect the Infuse is better. I am SOO glad I took the Inspire back, and don't regret my decision in the slightest. Also I have 3 email accounts and an Exchange account, and the Inspire was Extremely awkward to get to the accounts, the Infuse handles it awesome and is SOOO much more user friendly. Also the screen is more responsive on the Infuse than the Inspire, feels much more like the iphone screen (sorry, but the iphone screen as far as touch sensitivity goes...beats any android phone, that is the only thing I will give Apple Kudos for)
Also the G2 as stated below is dual core, but also 4.3" screen not 4.5". And phonedog tested Infuse and G2 side by side, and said they could not tell a difference between the speeds, and said that the programs do not fully benefit from dual core yet, and the battery drains faster etc because it is the same size battery as the Infuse. I can only see a possible benefit in gaming, but I don't game on my phone, so no benefit to me waiting for G2 to come out months from now. Only big benefit I see is G2 comes with Gingerbread out of the box, Infuse is Froyo. But by the time the G2 comes out we might have GB, let's keep our fingers crossed!

the G2 is the smasung galaxy S 2 its a dual core variant of the original galaxy S.

the inspire is nice and so is the infuse go to an at&t store and play with it. they are both great phones you really cant go wrong.

I had HTC Inspire for 20 days. I returned it and got Samsung Infuse.

I am soooooooooooooooo glad I did.

Inspire is a fine phone, but the biggest reason for my exchange was it's locale setting. I needed the phone to be fluent in Korean/Japanese, which HTC inspire was not. Infuse does many more things out of the box, than inspire. I mean, in the android world, anything is possible but number of hoops and hurdles you have to go over.... wasn't pleasant experience.

Everyone raves about AMOLED+, but to me, it is oversaturated. Inspire screen is more truer than Infuse. Only area where AMOLED+ would be superior is visibility outside.
