New to LG Platform, have some questions

I have had mostly Samsung phones in the past 10 years (Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S5, and Note 7). With the note 7 being the best phone I've ever used... sadly.
I just got my V20 and have some questions on operations and adjustments. Is there anyway to setup the security of the phone to be locked but also be able to see text/email headings? On my note 7, the phone would be locked but still allow me to view what emails the text and emails I received were about. The LG tells me that information is private and the phone needs to be unlocked.

Also, I've got a lot of pictures from my old device... Is there anyway to get them categorized without putting them in folders individually?

For the notifications, go to settings > notifications > lock screen. Set that to show all and it should take care of that.

For the pictures, you may be better off tethering both phones to a computer, then using its explorer to copy and paste tnt folders to the new phone if categorizing is important to you.

For photos I just use google photos and it does a decent job of sorting them and they are synced to the cloud. Other wise you can go into your Sammy load the folders to your computer and then just copy them to your lg.
