There are some easy way's to root the Shift available that I have found. I haven't found the need to permanently root my Shift yet since I just use Visionary Temp Root for now when I need one time access to root, but it's good to know permanent root is this easy with a [Win32 Tool]GUI based Root.
Ok so I did the perm root and when I did it made phone very slow man I wish there was a 1 click root for my phone but unfortunately there's not as I can see... all my friends talk about how there rooted phone is faster and awesome but mine is stuck in stock what a bummer
If your phone seems slow after you temp root, just reboot your device and try the root again. I remeber the same thing happening to me and usually rebooting, then temp rooting again fixed the issue
