Hi all I am new to Samsung phones I picked my first one up yesterday. I am having a few problems that I would like to ask about. I have the s21 ultra. I seem to be loosing about 50% charge in about 3 hours. I have apps including this one that will randomly crash usually on start up. Also I am unable to set up chat features just says trying to verify I have tried the code *#*#467#*#* but this just crashes the phone any help appreciated thank you

Hi, which apps are crashing ? This could be a battery issue your experiencing

For Chat features make sure you have e an app called carrier services installed and updated. Plus the phone number on your sim card needs to be the same as the one you are using.

I just noticed I put this in the wrong one so thank you for helping. Chat has been stuck for ages I don't get any verification messages. This is all I get. If I try setting it up on Samsung messages it says registration failed Screenshot_20210525-131747_Messages.jpg

Did you have an iPhone before? If you still have it put your sim card into it and under the settings check the phone number on your sim card. If it is different from the number you are using you can amend the number with the iPhone. This is the only way I know to force a change of phone number onto a SIM card. Once the phone number is the same, put it back into your android phone.

Got to settings, apps, carrier services and clear cache, clear data and force stop. Then go to settings, apps, messages clear cache, clear data and force stop.

Then open messages again and try setting up chat features again.

Unfortunately haven't come from IPhone. I came from a Huawei p30 pro.

I have got to the point I think it might be an issue on Google's end

Sometimes it takes time , force close the message app then check again

Sorry. Is it the Samsung version you are using? Or Google's messages? Please try all the cache clearing and force stopping I mentioned above. And make sure carrier services is up to date. That is really important.

Yeah it's all up to date. I am on the Google messages. It's been verifying for about 24 hours now

It is having trouble matching your sim's phone number to the phone number you are using. That causes the verification error or lag.

I know it's a little frustrating but keep checking it as it's not uncommon for it to verify in a week or 2 time , we had this issue with some members here in the forums going back to last year about it .

Yeah I will keep at I I know it's not a problem with my phone that's all that matters.
