New to smartphones

Just got the Droid x2. I'm looking forward to getting into the android system. First I'm going to figure out how to extend the battery life with the phone settings. I also need a good weather app (something that will also send me weather alerts). Also how to make my itunes sync with the new phone. Why isn't there a centralized media organizer (music, podcast, store) for android?
