New to the Forum! And looking for custom ROM help

Hey everyone! Just got rid of my iPhone 4 and purchased a LG Optimus Net ( for Net 10). I am trying to decide whether or not to get a custom ROM and root it or not....It seems fast enough but I have heard of a thing called ThunderRom that looks pretty intense, strips out all non essential bloatware and stuff....and advice?

Welcome to AC... I'd say go for it but that's me... I hack all my devices its one of the great things about Android.
