New to the smart phone world

New to the smart phone world. In about a month I will get a new phone. I currently have a Samsung Rant, that I have had for 3 years. I have narrowed my choices down to two devices: Sprint Nexus S 4G, or the recently announced HTC EVO Design 4G. I will wait untill the EVO gets some reviews. Hopefully the new Evo gets great battery life.

Go with Nexus S! ...... you will be amongst the first people to get the official update to the latest and greatest android - IceCreamSandwich.

The rest of us have to wait for either the official update from OEMs, which will likely take forever, or root our phones and install a custom ROM. The same will happen if you go with Design 4G.
