Is there any rumors out there for a new streamer? Maybe something coming out of the upcoming Google event? Still holding on to my Logitech Revue because I haven't found anything worth jumping at. The Nexus Player was pretty close, but I'm holding out for HDMI Passthrough.

While I hope to see more AndroidTV devices, the SHIELD is a difficult one to beat. Maybe there will be a new Nexus Player, the current one is 2 years old now, and it'd be nice to see them add an SD slot and/or GigE.
I think you're unlikely to see HDMI pass-through on these devices, not with the HDCP requirements for video (particularly 4k video). Probably easier to HDMI it to the TV and run an optical cable from the TV to your sound system instead. That's more apt to be supported going forward anyway, since only the audio has to be passed-through (content providers are much less paranoid about the audio track).
