Just checked; says I have the latest software update already, but does not agree with Firmware listed in article. My current firmware: R765AUCU2DSD7/R765AATT2DSD7/R765AUCU2DSD7. Mine is an ATT-branded Gear S3 Frontier.

Same here, I have an At&t branded and no update for me.

I downloaded it last night. I think it has messed up the way we dismiss notifications. when I get a calendar notification now, when I try to dismiss the notification it just turns my screen off then when I go back to the left again, that calendar notification is still there.

Is this the new notification color? I swear I don't remember it being this color.

Bixby has now been added. Takes a couple steps to get it activated and set up. Not difficult.

Couple other changes I've found so far.

1. Now when you scroll through your apps, you don't have the arrow with the lines to go to the next page. You simply swipe the whole screen left or right.
2. Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick options, and you're presented with larger font and only 6 quick options instead of 8.
3. Bixby has been added.
4. Once all the notifications are cleared, if you swipe/turn the dial to the left, you get a message "No notifications Check settings if you're missing notifications. And a "setting" cog vs. the graphic we used to see.

5. Once you start an exercise activity, you get an animation on the count down screen.
6. Stopping the exercise. Now you get a red STOP button on the screen, in the middle at the bottom.
7. In specific exercises, you now have a "high location accuracy" option for tracking your location.

UPDATE 2: Still no update for my Gear S3 Frontier. Check once each day, same result: "Your software is up to date." Does this mean AT&T has a hold on the update for their branded watches? Over three weeks now, Waiting, waiting, waiting.

Since I got the update if I have watch always on my screen goes crazy a few hours later. Only thing to get it back working properly is to reboot. I've tried factory reset, but that didn't help. I'm using a Samsung watch face, but not one that's preinstalled. Gonna try deleting and reinstalling it to see if that helps.

msm -- Are you using a carrier branded watch, or a non-LTE wifi-only version? Just curious who is getting updated and who is not. Cheers.

So I changed to a digital style watch face with watch always on, and didn't have any issues with the display going nuts. So it's either the Blue Pop watch face, or maybe analog watches faces in general with watch always on causing my issues.

UPDATE 3: Saw an article last night about Gear S3 update for Verizon just rolling out -- checked this morning and, sure enough, the update is now available for my AT&T LTE version Frontier. Download was about 112.5MB. New firmware version is: R765AUCU2ETE1. :)

Hey Airborne! Are you still using your S3 while swimming? I don't power through the water, just back stroke, but I'd like to get that added to my calorie burn for the day. Just a bit timid with putting this thing in the water with all the "passive-aggressive" warnings Samsung puts out.

I have in the past. I'm a little more cautious of wearing it in a pool nowadays. I wear it in the shower all the time, which, yes, is different than a pool.
