I kinda scared if it isn't broke don't fix it! And do the mean by respecting google & scrolling I smell a glitch. Just checked I've got nothing was the article implying that this update will only apply to certain builds / models in particular?

I'm not sure I'd reach much into this article -- it specifically references the i9100 (international SGS2), rather than any of the US carrier variants.

Yeah that specific update is for the international gs2 where the litigation with Apple is pretty serious. But that does mean that a 2.3.5 update could be in the works for the US, sans the Apple fixes.
