Looks like we got Jan security patch still no Oreo. But wonder if this means Oreo is close. Any one know what other changes there are with this update?

Tmo has a firmware update page and there are no LG phones listed for getting Oreo.....yet. Means V30 and V20 owners still have awhile to wait. ...

Wait for T-Mobile that is... AFAIK the update is being rolled out in some coutries already. It always depends on the provider in the end, and if he has all his marbles together.

For the most part you are correct and the update has been released in other parts of the world.
However, LG has to make it adjustments for their devices in North America and that doesn't seem to have happened yet. After Tmo receives the North America update from LG then Tmo starts their customization and testing. Finally, release. If it wasn't for the DAC and headphone jack, I would be looking at a Pixel 2 XL or maybe even the Razer phone.

BTW, I like you choice in Italian sports cars! Too bad we can't get them in the US anymore.

Ah yes, the Pixel. It was one of my favorites (coming from a line of Nexus devices). If it wasn't for the price being simply not worth it, I would probably have gotten the XL version. So I grudgingly forgot updates and decided for another device. Aside from the V30, the Mate 10 Pro was my other piece of interest.
I decided for the V30 because the whole package seemed more well rounded and the wireless charging is a nice twist that I first enjoyed on my Palm Pre devices.

Ah, Lancia. They sold their last cars under the Chrysler brand - the Delta for example. I had the Delta Executive with the Twin Turbo Diesel engine. A luxury sedan and a rocket in one item.
Lancia always was to Fiat, what Lexus was to Toyota. Best quality, best materials (my Delta had the leather from Ferrari and the electronic suspension from Maserati) and other than Lexus it was very affordable.
A shame this brand is dead now. A real shame.

Now I drive a Jeep Cherokee 2.2 multijet diesel.
/OT

BTW: I there is a pattern here.
I was a huge Amiga fan. That computer is basically gone.
I loved my Palm devices and WebOS. Gone (ok, WebOS is very nice in LG TVs)
I adored Lancia cars. Gone.

Now I like my LG V30 a lot and see what happens: LG decides to forego to build flagship phones every year in the future.

I really have a hand in choosing brands... :D

Just get the January security update for my V30+ this morning obviously on T-mobile, now let’s see how long it will take to get the Oreo update.
