New update

Received a new update today, 295mb, on UK unlocked. Usability, functionality and lock screen improvements, August security patch.

Every time I check for updates I get..

"Could not connect to the Update - server. Check your connection and try again." message.

The connection is fine. Does anyone else get this?

Yes I often get that but eventually the server replied and the update arrived.

I have a Vodafone UK G5 and these updates take a little while to percolate through. Only got the July security patch update on September 6!

I still only have the May security patch. My phone has never updated the software. I continually get the error I mentioned above even after refreshing it 100 times.

Any suggestions? Maybe I should contact LG.

Are you on an unlocked or carrier model?

Fido. I've already talked to them. No help. Sent me to LG. LG walked me thru a hard reset. And now it says that my software is up to date with the May 31st update being the one showing.

I'm not convinced it's "up to date".

I got the update the other day (unlocked H860) and since the update I can no longer crop images taken with capture+

The crop option is there but the end result is just an error symbol.

I got this update too. For some reason every time I get an update my phone deletes Facebook and Instagram app and I have to download them and set them up all over again. Not a major pain but does anyone else get this or is it just me?
