new user - 2 questions

Hi - Just getting started:
some apps keep downloading & never finish.
also - I'm not able to sign in to some websites, no matter how many times i recheck my password. Is there something unique to this tablet to account for that? thanks!!

I know on my PC w/ Chrome if I disable 3rd party cookies some sites won't let me log in. I have not tried this with the phone, I have them enabled there (under site data).
