Hello all
Retired - ex mainframe/IT support. Also ex iPhone user along with my missus.
Daughter and youngest son now following us to Android. Other 2 sons WILL follow suit
Wife was due to replace iPhone 4 with iPhone 5 but was NOT impressed. Much of the same said she, so she opted for a Samsung Galaxy S3 which I had the task of setting up as usual. I was due to get her hand me down iPhone to replace iPhone 3GS but I was so impressed with the S3 I decided to go Android. Decided on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and I AM impressed. It will have MANY uses.
I think I maybe found a bug so I'm looking for the bug report threads. Problem is, when I use the pen to select the box for replying to SMS text messages, it does not display the alphabetic keyboard, only the numeric one(s). Subsequently I can't switch to the alphabetic keyboard. If I use my fingertip to input in the reply to text message box it displays the alphabetic keyboard OK. Very strange indeed.
Anyway I have installed a lot of apps in the few days I have owned the Note 2 and it is very impressive.
Happy indeed!
