Nexus 6p is gone and g5 plus is here I'm a UK uaer and I'd appreciate any tips and tricks regarding the phone. So far so good! I just have one question, I'm not receiving notifications from one of my games and I'm not sure why! Everything is turned on.

Congratulations on your new G5 Plus! it really is an all-round great device. The 625 processor paired with a 3,000mAh should allow for many hours of use.

with regards to tips & tricks, have you tried 'one hand mode' also know as swipe to shrink screen. You can enable it through the Moto App. You can also change the display density. This allows you to see less or more content on the screen. Just go into Settings -> Display size.

I wouldn't worry to much about that. Getting updates for your device depends on a variety of factors.

If you purchased your device through a carrier then it's up to them to release the update to you but they can only do that if the OEM (phone manufacturer) sent them the update

Just check once a week for updates. Many companies are always behind with security patches. There was an article posted today on AndroidCentral which shows the companies that have kept up with security patches.

Great! That means you purchased a unlocked device. So you might receive updates quicker than those who purchased through a carrier.

You might need to remove your SIM in order to see the updates a little earlier but don't worry about it to much. Just do a weekly search for an update and I'm sure you will receive a newer security patch soon.

Not many people have Nougat anyway. So you are part of the early birds. Only 7% of people have 7.0 or higher

Ah okay that's good then. I just need to figure out why it's not reading any SD card I use its like it doesn't even exist!

That problem is now also fixed took the handset back to store and they tested it. Turns out it was faulty, replaced with no issues.

Let's hope this one is perfect The SD card for me is a vital edition to my phone. Being able to add up to 256gb of storage is very cool. See you around the forums.

I understand the g5 is the mid range device. Would the z2 play be the flagship device then? Or will there be another better device released, not sure how Motorola works things?

The rumours say that Lenovo will release the Moto X4 and, maybe, the Z2 Force in a few months. Both of them with better specs than the Z2 Play.
