Anyone else have 25.5.27—21? I don't like auto updates so now to check for updates, I have to click like 5 times to check for them. What were they thinking? I personally like the side menu from previous versions but I could deal with clicking the circle on the upper right. Now it's just so ridiculously tedious.

Can you long press the play store and add "my apps" to your home screen with the new version?

I'm not sure what you mean. I have Play Store 25.6.14-21 (more recent than your version) and I still just tap the circle, then My Apps & Games, to get a list of pending updates--just like it's been for weeks.

Long press the Play Store icon. The "My Apps" should appear. See attached screenshot. You can then move it to a place on your home screen. Just tap on that and it takes you directly to your installed apps in Play Store.

Yeah... It forking sucks! Google ruins EVERYTHING!
The quick way to get to the installed apps is great and fast. One tap and I'm there. I like that feature.
Of course you can always get an iPhone.

I don't like it either

I use a similar thing with Nova launcher. I moved that shortcut to a folder with Gmail and a couple more apps. Swiping the icon up I open the My Apps screen in the Play Store (now called Manage apps & device after a recent server side update). Swiping down I open Gmail.

Agreed that the change sucks, but Android always give us a chance to have it our way :)

I've worked around it already, but figuring out a workaround doesn't make a bad design good.

I could get an iPhone... And if I trim my nails too short and my finger hurts I could always just cut it off... But I don't think making a bad situation worse is a good fix lol.

Even if I long press or add the shortcut, I still have to click on manage, updates available and then click update. It's completely idiotic how tedious they've made it. Who thought it would be a good idea to bury the selections deeper in the app? I won't be switching to iPhone over it. I hate iOS but I still don't have to like everything Google does. Lol

I wouldn't call it a work around but an option provided by Google. Far better than having to open Play Store first before going to installed apps no matter how many steps that takes. I guess I just don't make the change to be a big deal.

Good thing I haven't had this version on my Note , so far only on my pixels

I agree with the posters who are not in favor of the new play store.

It is not a user friendly design.
Anytime you require more clicks to perform basic functions something is wrong.

And yeah a "work around" does not make it ok.

Yup, it stinks.

Yeah.. mine updated I guess... This is a horrible experience compared to what it was. Not sure what google was thinking or what they're trying to accomplish.
