New VVRUDNK1 update

Just a little update that I was able to put the SD card into our laptop and found a lot of files we want, but also many that were wiped beyond being able to recover. Of course now comes the task of sorting through to recover what we can. And since the phone isn't rooted, it doesn't look like any of the recovery programs can work to scan the phone's internal memory and all of that (though not as important as the SD card) is lost.

I wonder what would be adequate compensation from Verizon for deleting so much data and the failure of their cloud app to make backups...

Has anyone noticed if their Note 3 takes longer to charge? I'm not complaining one bit bc battery life has gotten way better but to me it seems like it takes longer to charge.

So everything the 4.4.4 update fixed like wifi connectivity this most recent update messed up. Leave it to Verizon to release an update that actually works good then release an update to completely negate everything they just fixed. Bhaa frustrating.

Does anyone know if I can flash the original 4.4.4 update using Odin without tripping the Knox counter? The most recent 4.4.4 has made my Note almost impossible to stay connected to the Internet.

I'm 90% sure you can't go back to NJ6 w/Odin but someone more knowledgeable may correct me.

When you say impossible to stay connected to the internet, could you be more specific? As in it won't connect to your wifi network..or..it won't utilize cellular data?

I don't know if this happened because of update...I called comcast today and I was on wifi calling.
There was the phone symbol on the notification bar ...regular one on left end and another one to the left of wifi symbol this one was a phone with the wifi symbol shooting from it.

Anyone have any imformation on this, because I couldn't find any

Before 4.4.4 my wifi no matter what wifi network I was on would connect then drop anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes later and the only way it would stay connected most of the time is by turning mobile data off.. It's really bleeping annoying bc backing up videos to my cloud service sucks. The video will almost finish backing up and bam wifi drops and have to start all over again..
It worked awesome with the first 4.4.4. But then like usual Verizon and Samsung had to f it up all over again.

Kinda what I thought too that you can't go back unless you're rooted....sucks.

You know funny you should say that...My girlfriends s4 started this crap with my POS Netgear router recently. Connect then immediately disconnect..Okay, forget network readd. Same stuff. Forget network, battery pull, reconnect..Stays connected for five minutes. At this point I'm like okay..Hmm.

I have an old Dlink DIR-655 laying around and set that up. Connect the Galaxy S4 too it..and..yay it stays connected. Keep in mind this is on a VZW Galaxy s4 running the most current build. While this is going on I'm on NJ6 then NK1 on the Note 3 like you and it's fine the entire time. I had another friend come over with his S4 and it connected to the first Netgear fine. Never tried a factory reset on hers.

Problem with the DIR-655 was that no matter what I did Upnp never worked properly and flat-out wouldn't play nice with my xbox..so I wound up buying a new router altogether. not just because of this incident but the netgear really sucked in terms of range. New router plays nice with her S4 and every device I've connected to it thus far. As to why it didn't work with the netgear, who knows. Never bothered figuring it out.

Edit: Btw, my girlfriends VZW S4 _never_ got 4.4.4. They got an update that was thought to be 4.4.4 around the time we actually did, but it was 4.4.2. So she had the same issues as you on the same version of android.

It's funny with the Note 3's bc it's not all Note 3's that do it just certain ones and of course I've tried telling Big Red this but they're incompetent. It's funny bc their answer is to send me a replacement when I've repeatedly tried explaining to them It's not My Note but the operating system. I thought it might be my wifi router as well but I've tried connecting to a bunch of open networks and get the same result. Note was broke on 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 fixed it until the recent 4.4.4 release super frustrating. Not to mention expensive I would have to check but I bet I'm paying at least $100 a month just for data.

It does this with every WiFi network you connect too? That would drive me crazy. I'm guessing you've tried forgetting all networks then readding? Is autonetwork switch off? Forgive me if I sound a little tech-supporty but not sure what you have and haven't tried.

Props to you on having patience. If my note did that and a FDR didn't fix it I'd claim warranty and demand another device (Droid turbo?)

Edit: btw, agreed. Tier 1 tech support is a bunch of morons.

Ha ya I've tried everything. The only way I can stay connected for a longer period of time is if I switch off mobile data but then it's not a guarantee. It's frustrating to say the least and ya Verizon has offered to replace my phone but the thing is it's not the phone and I absolutely hate replacement devices. The sooner they get 5.0.1 out the happier I'll be as long as it fixes my wifi issues.
