I probably would have done the same thing as the driver. He had his family with him, he did pull over after the accident and the bikers attacked his suv. I believe he felt his family was in danger.

But his family was with him and what if a bunch of them shot back, possibly hitting family, not to mention other bystanders?

I drive a big rig, so anyone trying to stop me like that isn't going to fair well to say the least. Even if I did try to stop, these things take a lot longer than a car to stop and a broken spine would be the best that one guy could have hoped for.

On a related note, I'm sure what this gang was trying to do is called "Killing the streets," where a gang brings traffic to a stop to perform illegal stunts on the road and post videos of it to YouTube. I'd heard news reports about this happening around the country in major cities in the past month or so, and knew it was a matter of time before something like this brought it to mainstream attention.
