so after having the iphone since the second gen 3G came out until next week, i'll be trying an android. pretty much my stupid self dropped and broke my iphone and i just ordered a Galaxy Nexus and will be running tmobile on it. a couple straight up questions

1. should i reflash to another rom (if so where can i learn more)? i'm going to update to newest firmware when i get it but i've read some places that new custom roms will increase speed a lot and have other benefits

2. essential must have apps (both paid/unpaid)?

3. is there such thing as "jailbreaking" the phone?

4. comments on overcloking the Galaxy Nexus? i'm not a fan of messing with hardware, but might be a little fun...?

5. itunes sync? i love itunes, how do i sync and get my music from itunes on?

As for overclocking, that is something that should be done lightly...even though I have my photon (normally 1ghz) running at 1.3 right now..

Swyped from my Photon using t-talk 2

jailbreaking an android ?? we root our devices which you must do to flash roms and overclock also you will need custom recovery like clockworkmod you can google rooting [device name] good luck

You've got ALOT to learn.XDA Developers forums are the best place to learn about Android Development (Flashing Roms, Kernels, themes, custom mods) Rootz Wiki is also a invaluable resource for researching Android development. Id start there and read, read, read and before ya know it you'll be a pro. Good luck & welcome to the community. You'll soon discover that with the right combination of Android software & a tier one device. You can hold on your hand the best smartphone on the market
