Got my Samsung Galaxy 2s Thursday and have mixed feelings converting from my BB Torch.
My most used ap on the BB was Outlook. I had 1300 contacts with categories in the torch which became 1600 during the sync. 1/2 a day later that's fixed. I can't sync my todo list or my notes without buying buying additional aps. They don't handle categories. The sync of the notes doesn't happen directly with the Galaxy. Tried through google and it gives me separate documents on google. The document gets downloaded when I choose it. If I'm not in range when I want to look at it, what do I do?
I'm thinking about keeping the blackberry without the sim card and using it like my old PDA. Back to carrying 2 devices till they get it right.
On the plus side - internet access in wifi range is super. The voice commands are way better than typing and work pretty good. I'm sure it will be better with time as I learn.
I can play music and video and it's quick enough that I will.
Do miss being able to make a phone call and access contacts without unlocking the device like I could on the Torch. Life's full of tradeoffs.
