Hi everyone,

I'm a tormented techie who is tired of learning new systems and updates, and trying to learn so many new things. I never was the kind to read instructions first, but I think this free form style is catching up with me. Here are some questions I could use answers on. Please help. I would appreciate it very much.

Does anyone understand why extra charges can be applied to your wireless without showing or telling what caused the charges? Okay, I get that I used more than I should have (maybe.) But what constitutes data usage?

Is there a differentiation between using the hotspot for talking and or voice mail?

Does the carrier keep tabs on how long a person stays online?

Is it staying connected to the internet 24-7?

Are there extra charges for uploading photos from the phone to the computer?

Is there a different charge for transferring photos from the Droid?

How can a person check on current amounts of usage?

Last but not least, why does the carrier get to charge for unexplained data usage without accounting for exactly what happened that caused the overage?
