Hi there, complete newbie to android :)

I was/am a long-time member of CB and now I have jumped over due to getting an android phone. I had a hard time letting go of my BB, mostly because I still love to use a physical keyboard. But I knew if I was going to get a full touch screen in would be an android and not an apple, as I've used an iphone before and it wasn't to my liking. So far I have to say I'm enjoying my new phone (which has been a total of 4 days lol!). I am really enjoying:

1. The screen, which is crisp and clear and amazing.
2. The widgets, which are fun and great for customizing.
3. The camera, which is light years ahead of my BB Bold. Also the front-facing camera.
4. The plethora of apps, even if I do not dl most of them lol.

The things I miss from my BB are the keyboard, the LED light, and the battery life. I've been reading here and there about the ICS and hopefully that will help with the battery life. That's the main thing I miss, but I have an extra battery so we'll see how it goes (my battery may also be draining faster because I keep playing with my phone:p)

It's an adjustment but I don't regret getting it and I hope to learn about and love my android phone as much as I loved my BB :D

Edit: I forgot to mention reboot time. No more waiting 5 minutes for my phone to start! (I probably don't even need to reboot as often as I have been but I catch myself rebooting after I download or delete an app. Old habits die hard I guess lol)

Welcome to AC ! Just arrived, myself, longtime CrackBerry veteran, and getting ready to pick up a new Photon. Figure if I'm gonna do it, no sense in going with something I won't be happy with. ;)

I'm gonna miss the keyboard, too, but I'll figure it out. Mlb forced me into a change by not supporting my summer fun on BlackBerry. So, time to learn anew.

Welcome yourself! I've seen your ID many a time over at CB :)

The full touch keyboard is definitely something that will need time to get used to but there are many keyboard apps out there to make the transition easier. I just got SwiftKey X myself and it is VERY nice.

With the rate things are going in the cell phone world, thank goodness for CB and AC and other similar forums for all us new learners lol
