Newbie to Sprint should I go for this?

I am really torn here....I have an upgrade available on AT&T and am strongly considering the One X but I can also cancel one of our contracts and move to Sprint so I am also considering the Evo 4G LTE. My dilemma is that I am not sure how sprints speeds are since I have never been with them. I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I know that the Evo would not have LTE right away but does anyone have any sagely words for me about this tough decision?

For me, unlimited everything and lower monthly cost was the deciding factor in carriers. I wouldn't jump ship just for a phone. If you're happy with ATT, why mess with a good thing? One the other hand, Sprint does offer a no-questions-asked satisfaction period...

If you already have att lte in your are, then they are going to be significantly slower.

Check out s4gru.com to see when network vision is coming to your home town, and if you are willing to wait go for it.

I can tell you that I switched from att two years ago here in Atlanta,and I have never looked back.

With all things, however, ymmv.

Sprint is slow. Really slow. That being said, Sprint is investing a ton of money in their network with their Network Vision upgrade. They will be adding 4g LTE as well as improving existing 3G service. If I remember what I read correctly, they won't have the super high theoretical speeds that ATT and Verizon have, but they are looking to have much more consistent service with far less drop outs. This site: Community Blog List - Sprint 4G Rollout Updates lays all the information out really well and it's actually the reason I decided to stay with Sprint. I go back and forth between DC and NY a lot so I should be reaping the benefits. If you're not in one of their first round or early deployment cities though, you may not want to switch over. At least as far as 4G is concerned, I'm not sure what they're doing as far as upgraded 3G in non-first round markets. But the folks at s4gru are extremely knowledgable and extremely helpful.

If streaming is your thing right now wait don't get sprint the speeds are awful. If you good with wifi use wifi and get sprint.

The question "speed or limits" is an easy one for me. would I like Sprint to be faster?... yes, but the faster speeds would only be great for me until the quota was hit.(probably 1/3 of the way through the month) What good is it then? Given the choice. I'd rather be slower and unlimited. Just my thoughts

Unlimited vs caps and extra fees. No probs with Sprint.

A similar plan with ATT would cost me $30+ more per month than Sprint, WITH employee discount. That's with the 5GB data cap (which I normally hit).

That doesn't fly with me. Although Sprint has significantly lower speeds and I probably have no chance of getting 4G/LTE here, unlimited data is the nature of the beast.

It boggles my mind carriers continue to spend gobs of money on contracts with phone makers rather than upgrading their own networks. What's the use of HUGE PHONE EX 4G LTE MEGA DATA HOG PHONE DO EVERYTHING ON ME if your data is capped?
