Hey everyone! I'm new to both the forum and Android! I bought a Galaxy tablet this past July to take abroad with me in lieu of a phone and a laptop, and I absolutely loved having the device so much that, if I ever get a smartphone I'll probably look into an Android. My tablet hasn't seen much use since I've been back, though I'm thinking about getting a stylus and using the tablet to take class notes on. If anyone wants to chime in here about that, it would be totally welcome.

Welcome to the forums!
I saw your other post ans answered that one too. To your question: You may be happy with the Samsung Note 3. I believe that comes with a stylus, and I have some friends who are beginning Grad school that have the Note 2, and like it for school. They don't really use it for note taking, but the large screen and the multi window help them out.

I don't think I'll be getting a smartphone anytime soon, but it seems like the Note is one to look out for, then. But I have to ask, if your friends like the Note for school but not note taking, what exactly are they using it for?

I never really asked, but I think its more the bigger screen to view files. They typically keep essays and other writings to view and edit when away from PCs.
Since we are all the same age, I think it is also we are so used to hand writing class notes that it is second nature to do it that way.

Welcome to Android Central! Listen to Golfdriver97, he knows his Samsung.

Thanks everyone! Everyone here is super nice--very different experience from some other forums I've been on, and pleasantly so.

Well, Android Central is the best and its an awesome community to be a part of.
