Newly installed app icon home screen

I have three pages for my home screen. All three are 50% populated with app icons. Whenever I install a new app via the Google play store it creates a fourth new home screen and puts the newly installed app icon in there.

Not a major issue, but curious for perhaps a solution. Cheers.

Make sure you don't select "Add apps to home screen." in home screen settings.

But doesn't that option just stop it putting icons on the homescreen period? I'd like icons on my homescreen to be added when installing apps, but issue was it create a new home page and puts the icon there instead of using the existing space.

This has been a longstanding issue -- the system is looking for an empty spot at the lower right of the screen, and if there isn't space there, it creates a new homescreen, even if you have plenty of space higher up. Kinda silly, I know. Send feedback to Samsung about it.
