I used the S6_UniKernel_v8-0002-ODIN.tar file to root it, using Odin. Root worked fine.
I spend a lot of time cycling through dangerous mountain roads and wanted to underclock when I'm out there, to save battery to ensure I can always use GPS and make emergency calls. If I'm in the middle of nowhere, I'm not gonna be playing games.
I've tried several root CPU apps, and none are letting me throttle the CPUs. If I try to lower the max CPU speed, it automatically jumps to the default max speed. I've tried SetCPU, 3c CPU manager, and no frills manager.
What can I try to fix that? I tried a custom recovery, but I didn't see any settings for CPU.
